The Pre-school Playstation.
A Preschool situated within the Alan Talbott room of The Village Hall, Station Rd, Broughton Astley. Although the village hall has been the home of preschool's for more than 40 years, The Pre-school Playstation was opened by Sandra Rushforth in January 2001. Since then thousands of faces young and old have passed through the preschool family as we are just a quick stop on the journey of life.
Here at the preschool we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and are Ofsted registered Good. We understand every child is unique and believe in child led development and free play alongside adult led activities and we also operate our learning journeys through Tapestry. Each month we focus our planning around a different book, for example The Gruffalo, Handas Surprise and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We also provide without any extra charge, Football sessions every Wednesday and Friday 14:00-15:00. We also love the outdoors! We have our garden on site but also enjoy a walk to one of the village parks.
We take 2 year old funding, 30 hours funding and 3/4 year olds 15 hour funding.
NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED! So come and drop in. Although we don't require appointments, we do like parents come and see us whilst everyone is in the swing of the day. Best times to visit are 09:15-11:00 this way parents and children can come and join in with activities.
