Amanda and Sandra studied the ethos of Forest school learning as our chosen subject at Northampton University. Abbi has now completed forest school training and is putting together her portfolio. We have always worked within the ethos of Forest school enjoying taking children on short trips around the village and making them aware of the ever-changing environment.
We are excited to announce that we now have two 8-seat busses to use for the purpose of taking children on trips out to local woodlands and countryside. Trips will be planned around themes, working with the EYFS and the Forest school ethos of small groups short trips.
The Pre-school can supply wellingtons ( if you haven’t any) and wet weather suits, we ask parents /Carers to dress their children sensibly for example no strappy sandals, long trousers to be worn, long sleeved tops and coats. Please take account of the weather on the day.
All trips will be risk assessed and planned for the maximum learning opportunities and minimum risk whilst keeping the sessions fun and relaxed. All risk assessments are available for parents to see prior to the trip.

We as a team believe that children being outdoors and back with nature creates good self esteem, self awearness and confidence. We work with the Forest School Ethos and are great believers of "There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing". Click the tree to see our Forest School Album.
