About The Pre-school
Here at The Pre-school Playstation in Broughton Astley, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and are Ofsted registered Good. We understand every child is unique and believe in child led development and free play, alongside adult led activities. We also operate our learning journeys through Tapestry. Each month we focus our planning around a different book for example The Gruffalo, Handa’s Surprise and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We also focus on a different country each month like Spain, France or Scotland.
Our members of staff are all qualified in NVQ Level 3, First aid and Safeguarding. We also boast 5 Early Years Graduates and 2 with their BA in Early Years.
Consumable Fees
Session fees apply after funded hours have been used.
Sessions are 3 hours long;
9am-12pm Morning Session
12pm-3pm Afternoon Session
All Day Sessions are Available 9am-3pm
(Pack lunches needed)
Consumables cover Snack, Forest school, Wet weather suits, Welly boots and Tapestry.
Adventure Awaits
Forest School sessions lead by our very own Level 3 qualified Forest School Leader. We love the outdoors so much that the setting has been awarded the Gold, Green Tree Schools Award by the Woodland Trusts and we are also a Green School Ambassador. The children regularly visit Fosse Meadows and occasionally different local parks. We also have our own garden on site. The children love our playhouse, sand pit, mud kitchen and gravel pit. In the summer we spend most of our time out there. We also have our own ponies and chickens not too far away from us that we visit and take care of.
